Keeta is the Familiar of a mystery character, who is not actually a mage. Neither is he quite human any more. If he ever was to begin with. This character is known on Keeta's world as The Bloodshadow; a mysterious figure who regularly stalks the night streets of the capital city, Ros'Maraign. Some think of him as the boogeyman, others as a protector. Many just fear his existence and refer to him as The Executioner.

Species: Loua (pronounced LOWA.) A catlike Keldran animal from the tropics (in this case, Caldeira), also known as a jungle cat. In her trueform, Keeta is slightly smaller than a domestic cat.

It is to be noted that, as with all Keldran Familiars, Keeta is primarily an animal with the ability to take on humanoid form, not the other way around. There's a big difference, and it makes for a different sort of psychology. Hence, she loves things like string and laser pointers, but finds cat food offensive. Any kind of pet bed or accessory with a cute paw-print pattern is just patronising.

Keeta is a fated Familiar, and her humanoid form is that of an 11-year-old female child with long blonde hair, braided and rolled into slightly untidy space buns. She usually wears black, form-fitting clothing, with mossy-green legwarmers and long, fingerless gloves. She resembles a little dancer. Despite her childlike appearance and the fact that all these fae-related creatures are childlike, Keeta is nothing like an ordinary human kid.

As a loua, she used to be green, as are all Caldeiran jungle cats, but the Bloodshadow is Void-blessed and Void-claimed. Those energies have turned her fur black. She loves her new look, and once she'd grieved sufficiently for her original One, Keeta also loves her new life.

She is actually over 200 years old, born on the same day as her original One.



Her original One, a powerful mage, was murdered by a dark mage. Usually, when a One dies, the Familiar also dies, but Keeta was saved by the High Familiar of her world and a surrogate One was found. The magic involved was risky, and the only person who can become a surrogate for a Familiar is the person who avenged her original One's death.

Enter the Bloodshadow, who had slain the dark mage, but had been too late to save Keeta's One.

Keeta is insanely and ridiculously cute, in either form. She is utterly unafraid of the Bloodshadow, and despite himself, he's... fond. Of her. Even if it is difficult for him not to view her as a child. Keeta now lives with the Bloodshadow pack, in a beautiful house in Ros'Maraign, right on the bay.

They have a boat.

And knives... and maaaybe a reciprocating bone saw.

And cookies.
